2008-2009 Vocabulary Syllabus

7th  Grade

Seventh grade vocabulary is the introduction of 300 new words, their definitions, synonyms, antonyms, how to use the words in a sentence, and using the words in the context of a story.  Vocabulary is a separate class from English; therefore, it receives a separate grade.  During the assigned week, each student will be expected to complete the assignment in class.  Any work not done will be for homework.  Due to the fact that class work is checked daily, vocabulary work that is not done, for any reason other than an excused absence, cannot be made up.  The dates listed below are the due dates for the material assigned. The following is the schedule* for the 2008-2009 school year.
